

Similarly, the items in the Special button dropdown menu allow you to replace what you entered in the Find what field with special formatting. And when Word replaces the text you’ve searched for, it will also apply the specified formatting. So you could select bold font, or a particular heading or body text style. But you can also use it to set specific formatting options for the text you enter in the Replace with field. You can again use this section to refine your search. Start speaking to see text appear on the screen. Wait for the Dictate button to turn on and start listening. Open a new or existing document and go to Home > Dictate while signed into Microsoft 365 on a mic-enabled device. This is identical to the Find section on the Find tab (apart from the name). Its a quick and easy way to get your thoughts out, create drafts or outlines, and capture notes. Then there’s the Replace section at the bottom of the tab.
